Just hearing about it myself.

I think it's the May issue, according to my California sources.

The picture is from June of 1996.  Drove all night to race a CB400f at Grattan for one day.  Slept between practices.

Mitch was riding a project CB750 owned by Harlan Hadley of the Washington, DC area.  Almost beat them in the open class.  Anyway, I ended up riding the bike for Harlan in 1997 with an number one on it for my 1996 Formula Vintage AHRMA National Championship.

Anyway, Mitch has been a good friend since.  Guess I've gotten to know lots of people over the years.  The pictures were by Brian J Nelson.  The year before, he was taking my wedding pictures...LOL!

The article that we raced against each other was April of 1997.  I think it's archived on their website too.
