Hey all,

Just got done putting a Graves Fairing Stay on the Gixxer after having it powder coated.  Anyways, quick note:

The graves stay doesn't allow full movement of the bars.  For some reason, the clutch adjustment screw thingy on the clutch lever hits the gauge cluster and on the opposite side, the brake lines hit the cluster.  You lose about 1/2 inch of movement (on each side) over stock.  I had a Graves on my R6 and it didn't do that though.  I have a feeling that Graves rushed the design of the fairing stay on this one to get it out.  Everything else fits well, and the ram air tubes attach perfectly to the "wings" they put on the stay.  On the bonus side, you can use those "wings" to mount a laptimer or laptimer pick up on.  8)

Do you have clip-ons or not? SS lines?

aftermarket clipons might change that a bit, and so could lever angle, Id think.

Does it both with stock and woodcraft. I have no idea why.  Seems lower than the R6 stay also.

Our doesnt hit with the stock, woodcraft or Sato clipons...

Graves one that is...

The Vortex piece was junk, sent it back...

Plus the graves bracket has a nifty lil hole in the front, so I made up a lil bracked and mounted our catch bottle in the very nose of the bike, on its own lil tray with some industrial velcro.

Good luck

Weird? Wonder why yours is different, corner?

Well, the easy thing would be to throw a wheel weight on each steering stop to limit the travel, and call it a day.  ;D

??? I dunno.    ???  I didn't put it on upside down or anything  ???  Hmm.. everything lines up alright as far as mounting.  Maybe I got a reject  >:(  I'll call Graves and see what they say.  ???

Wheel weight  ??? Why would you wanna add weight to a wheel  ??? Isn't that why they use aluminum and magnesium to make wheels to make them lighter  ???  Geez, they need to make up their mind with this wheel thing.  They should just use lead to make wheels instead of aluminum and magensium, that way their gauranteed to be heavy enough so you don't have to add any weight.  It could definelty help on keeping the bike on the ground when you crash instead of flipping in the air and stuff.  ;) You could probably ghost ride the hell out of a bike with lead wheels  ;D
