What kind of Pirelli tires?

Here is the scenario:

I am going to be track riding/racing at Mosport (Toronto Canada) at the end of May on my Aprilia 250.  From the last 9 yrs experience the weather could be 70 F and dry to 45 F and wet...VERY unpredictable!  I want to put some Pirelli/Metzler tires on the bike due to the quick warm characteristics and my lack of access to tire warmers.  I am afraid that DOT race tires (Pirelli Diablo Corsas or Metzler Rennsports) aren't really suitable is the conditions come up wet...you know...no tread at the edges of the tires!  What would you guys do?  I am thinking the Pirelli Diablo even though I am uncertain if they will have enough stick if we end up with dry conditions and high corner speeds... ??? Decisions, decisions.... :-/
