Sounds like we've all come to grips with Daytona being cancelled, but many of us need some info on Homestead in order to make plans this year.    E.G. trackmap of the roadcourse, track facilities, camping, costs, etc?  I've found two Homestead websites,

http://www.homesteadmiamispeedway.com
http://www.racemiami.com/index.htm

but  they seem to provide NASCAR spectator info only.  On the CCS site I'm only getting a logo in the frame for the trackmap. If anyone has a picture or any reliable info could they please post it?

Any Florida guys willing to share some track experience?

everyone will be right at home, has some elements of Daytona (my grand insight having been to daytona 1 time and homestead 2 times..). Turn 1 is alot like daytona, fast comming off the banking, litte straight, then another hard left...

So they run it CCW, like Daytona?  What track would you compare gearing to?

Ive only been there once and picked up the pace with a full track day under way.. its fun with 4 straightaways. I believe i ran 2 up on the rear on my 600 and that suited me well

Thanks guys.  Sounds like no gearing extremes...Florida has the highest & lowest gearing range for most bikes: Daytona & JGPR.  BTW Greg, I can think of worse things to be than a Jennings pimp...one of my favorite tracks  ;)

What about walls, pavement transitions at Homestead?

There is only one area of slight concern outside turn 7 and Henry Degouw as told us there will be air fence installed at the next event in July. Transitions are a little bumpier do to the changed banking (they raised it last year) turn 1 is not bad turn 10 a little tricky. Overall I believe it is a far better NASCAR infield track than Daytona.
