CAmping at Heartland Park

Is there camping there ?
ARe the gates open at certain times? or does the place close ?

Anyone know if you can get into the place thursday nite to setup ?

I think there is camping  but no showers so we're staying at the Days Inn.  We're hardcore campers, but not 4 days with no shower hardcore campers!  Plus we'll have the jacuzzi benefit for Saturday night.

Wannamaker Road is a good place to stay...probably 10 minutes west of the track.  Lots of restaruants there, Super WalMart, etc.  Super 8 on the north end of Wannamaker Rd too.  

If you can, you need to go to the "Blind Tiger" for dinner too.  That's north of the track, south of downtown, and just a few blocks east.

Buy the hotel room.  HP won't buy you lap times at Heartland Park Topeka.  The surface is going to be very, very rough.  If you have stock forks...it's gonna be tiring.

I agree-last season I had a '98 gsxr 600 with 50k on the clock and stock (yet well tweaked) suspension and I really didn't find it to be that bumpy...  Maybe I am just to used to the street or from my mx background to really freak out over a few bumps here and there.
