What hotel is good for Topeka?  Judging by map alone, I'm coming up with the Raceway Inn.

We liked it - nice, new hotel, included b'fast, big room, outdoor pool.

FYI - we ran into a bit of trouble finding a place to stay on Sunday night, on the way home - there was a State Fair in Des Moines, and all the hotels along the way were booked - we drove to Quad Cities before we could find a room - was a long drive after a full day of racing.

No, not at Heartland.  We'll be taking my CR-V down with our little trailer. It's going to be the essentials only. Not that we're above sleeping in the CR-V!  But I'd like a shower and stuff.  

Plus the van is under about 5' of snow right now   :P.

Heather, the team and I are staying at Amerisuites as Tom has said. The rate i got was $69 a night. According to my information it should be only 10 or 15 min from the track.
