so nobody answered my question  >:( is it ok to wheelie if I am good at it?

a rule should be a rule, loose interpretation is NO GOOD. Even you allow or disallow. If you want to judge by wheeling abilities then the last place guy should be able to do one if he is good at doing it.

so what is the rule?

R6 philly, I'll tell ya what, when you and your like minded buddies get good enough to sniff Geoff May's jock strap, I'll answer your stupid question. Get a life!

This is getting too stupid, they cant even anwser the question without a bunch of Jock sniff jokes.  Yes it is a rule that is not enforced in the Fla region, bottom line, no more BS.

henry, I am not complaining, I just want a rule interpretation. Is wheelying allowed or not? Since you are the director of the FL region, I just want to know.  We were always told that it is expressively prohibited in the Mid-A and everyone will be fined.

I don't really care for what the other guys said. They were saying that Geoff should be allowed to do so because he is good at doing it.

At which point did I complain or bad mouth the FL region, or you? At which point did my question warrant an unprofessional answer? I just wanted an answer to whether it is a rule or not  ??? since you are the guy who runs CCS FL, who else am I going to ask? Why is it a stupid question? When was I arguing with anyone with it? how is it stupid?

"get a life"?

Henry, I do have a life. It is revolved around racing. Or I wouldn't be here on a Friday night on a racing board. What do you suggest me get a life doing?

I am not like-minded with redsv. I am not siding with him. I did not defend him. I had a question regarding rules. When did that become stupid?

So if I ask you whether I can run velocity stacks in SS you are going to tell me to get a life?

Please, not here to argue, no need to get all huffy about it

and as for sniffing Geoff's jock strap... since we are talking about wheeling, not racing. (well I wasn't). Geoff is welcome ANYDAY in a wheeling contest. Tell you what, I will compete on my GS500 and whip his ass doing wheelies

Quote I do think we race and being aggresive is a part of racing if you are to afraid james i think you need to stick with track days!!! I hope you dont plan on riding jennings again I am a very aggressive rider and i wouldnt want to scare you then again i probably already did you were probably one of the backmarker experts us Ams caught last year and we ended up stuffin!!  Im so glad i wont have to worry about you in my way again!! Oh well im out tired of hearing people whine about being aggresive if you dont like it go to the MALL or race NASCAR they always whine about aggresivness
Controled aggression is great and welcome, out of control aggression is unsafe and dangerous. I should have stated that to begin with. No, I was an AM last year just like you Steve, and no you didnt lap me.

WebCrush

sounds like the same rule we have up in LRRS--no wheelies with the unwritten portion stating that if you have certain last names the rule no longer applies

So why dont you want to side with me, thats what I want too, is an interpertation of the rule which they cant seem to do??

well I posted because I had that question when I was reading my RRW. So I just posted without agreeing with you or not.

and I wouldn't have any opion on rough riding at Jennings or anything when it comes to that.

I just hate to see rules not being enforced.

Either its a rule, or its not. Enforce it, or don't.

And I still don't understand how is MY question stupid?

Sorry, I don't like it when my race directory/head referree tell me "I will answer your question when you are fast enough" or tell me to get a life if I want to know about a rule.

I like doing wheelies. I have been since I started riding. That was over 5 years ago. I do at least 50-100 wheelies on every given riding day. I just want to know the rule. Why is that so stupid?

I wasn't a slow amatuer, and I am not going to be a slow Expert for long. so when I am fast, does that mean I get to do whatever I want? great attitude to be showing new racers.

and a race directory telling a racer to shut up because he is not as fast as the track record.... wow...

damn I have no rights cuz I can't run with Geoff May

R6 I think I can answer your question.  If you win the race it OK not encouraged to wheelie.  Henry doesn't want to take the fun out of enjoying the WIN.  They just don't want guys in the back of the field doing wheelies when ever during the race for kicks thats the point of the rule.  I know it may not be totally fare but I wouldn't want to be at race pace and some backmarker I'm lapping doing wheelies because he getting his ass kicked and is bored.  The guy smoking everyboby will get away with alittle bit because he desevere it.  Look at Rossi.

Geoff actually isn't that good at wheelies, SORRY GEOFF, although that was a good one.  He did it because we all said he couldn't.  That was the joke in road racing world.  He won the race by 10-15 seconds, set a lap record, and won $600.  He was celebrating

The point is the "win" not the "wheelie" as james tried to make it.

r6_philly

ok, thats the kind of explaination I was asking for? I really didn't make a big deal did I, just had a question, couldn't have henry answered it without the big fuss?

all he had to say was "win and you can do one" if you don't win then don't show off.

perfectly understandable. no need to attack a fellow racer and call people slow.

mmills416

I think you just were an innocent bistander.  Don't take it personally.  Henry, get attacked with all kinds of BS.  You would not believe the crap he get nailed with.  Glad I could help alittle.  But I'm one of thos overly agressive florida riders, as James SV puts it >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
