New '69 CB750's ?

Hey i got some land in Florida i need to sell too.

Obviously you didn't hear about the article in motoryclist, I think it was.  :D

One guy has so many OEM parts for CB750's, that he can build you one from the parts for about 20K, IIRC. He's got enough parts to build several.

Like Nate said...Vic World has been collecting so many parts over the years, new ones, old ones, refinished ones, etc...he can actually make you a bike.  The '69 was different than all the rest.  But certain parts are unobtainium.  So, if you wanted a "rider" you'd get the '71 seat.  The original '69's go for about $1100 or more IF you can find them...and they will turn to dust if you sit on them...the foam is over 30 years old after all.

Anyway, he has the details all done correctly.  Paint is done like the originals.  It could be done better, but that wouldn't make it original.  Same goes for the zinc plating.  It could be done in a way that would be shinier, but that wasn't the way it was done in '69.

Regardless, come a check it out.  It's really well done.

$19,500 is the starting price, but you probably won't ride that one.  Might get one with a seat you can sit on for less...and if you know a Honda dealer, a better deal can be had.  Still, it IS a 1969 CB750.  Not many made the first time around.  I think one of the only things that is different from the original is that the automatic chain oiler has been blocked off and the chain has been improved.

I will look for you there. I am still not sure if I am going, but I may take a day drive for a day.

I'll be there.  We should try to have a CCS get together at some resturant or bar!
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"
