QuotePersonally, I just don't see this class going anywhere.  All those interesting bikes being mentioned were legal for the Sportsman classes too so where were they?  There just weren't that many bikes running when there were multiple races to enter so why should there be more now?  Who's going to go to all the trouble and expense just to go out there for one race?  I ran Sportsman but now I only have one race and it's just not worth it.  I think this class will die and budget racing will be gone.   :(
I thought it would be bad too, I only ran sportsman like twice, never made it to the Saturday races, so I usually only did ONE race on Sunday, occasionally towards the end of the season I did more as I got comfortable.  What are you riding?  If I can be competitive on a stock MZ with no suspension work or anything and finished not to bad, you should be alright?   ;)

Quotehey mike it to bad you cant run in this class, unless you have something other than the 125
yea, I know.  But this 125 was waaaaaayyyy worth it. this thing is incredible. It's soooo fun and fast and I've only ridden it once!

Yea.. I'll be at Jennings. It's the USGPRU opener.  But I'll be doing the GTL and LWGP races also.  Although I don't know how good I'll do b/c I've never been :)

I agree.

I think it's nice to have it mixed in where it doesn't take extra time out of the day, pretty much.  It at least might offer an alternative for those getting started or for those that that do AHRMA or WERA Vintage...if they knew.

Too bad there isn't like a little contingency or maybe a little entry certificate for it.  At least make it something of an alternative.

That's exactly what I stated in my petition letter before the change.  The only reason I'm racing it is because I still have the bike, so it's easy to bring it along with the others.  If it was my only race bike (like it was last year) I would have been screwed.  I see this class dying soon.   :-/

I don't know about the rest of the country but LWSPM is still kicking at loudon. Last year we had so many bikes we had to split the combined LWSS/LWSPM race every weekend. This year we are keeping the class and it has it's own race. I guess there are a lot of us broke budget racers up here, also the fact that these bikes are still a lot of fun up here. See y'all at Daytona... :D
