I'm looking for a solid comparison of bodywork for the R6.  Fit, finish, weight, cost, crash worthiness, and flexibility.

hey Brent just get the hotbodies through Lockhart there the best for the money $450

LP is going to put everyone out of business and none of us will get sponsors  :D

on topic:

the air tech I have doesn't fit too great. It took over an hour to mount it with lots of dremeling... and it wasn't the greyline I had.

I would go with the sharkskinz if you had the $$$ I think they crash 10 times better than anything else... and I should know :p

Multi Tech (if they got back up and running after the fire)

I had the air tech stuff and it sucked cause it isn't flexable and weighs a ton, I have sharkskinz too there great but too costly, I also heard that the armor bodies are really good too, but pricey!

r6_philly

what you want something that is both nice and cheap?? where you coming from?  ::) :P

I heard multi tech is not going to make anything any time soon, I dont think they have a plan to get back in business... it would take too much just to re-make all the molds... I Would just look into something else to do with the insurance $$

Check out http://www.akcomposite.com

There's several racers I know that have that specific bodywork and love it whether on an R6 or whatever.
I know a guy who's crashed his bike at WILLOW 3 times on AK stuff, and the bodywork still looks semi good (hasn't fixed it yet)..   It also is a bodywork that's easy to mount up, and fits better than anything I've seen out there.

#201 had sharkskins on his bike last year... It took him 45 min to drill and fit.  There were no fitting issues.

As far as crashing the held up well during all the lowsides and the  big get off at summit when him and peanut banged each other on the stright and the T3 get off.

Sharkskinz really has proven to be outstanding.  Are they still offering contingency for 2004?  That's a bonus too.

Air Tech...it seems to have some issues.  Used the Armour Body last year, and I abused it.  Was good stuff.

I've had some of the Hotbody stuff in my hands.  Seemed good.  Rennsport sounds attractive, but other than that, I don't know.
