Does CCS provide an inexpensive school alternative to the plethora of 350 dollar schools, kinda like WERA's 60 dollar class?

At summit point there's a group that does the class for about $200, they'll even give you a discount if you do a day of corner work.  I'd check with the track you plan to go to, they may have their own class...

CLay, come up to Blackhawk Farms May 8th. LEarning Curves is $150. Super Dave has a good school. Unsure what dates he has. Dave, wanna help him. ;D

Clay, those are all good choices. Depending on the weather, you can go to VIR for Aaron Stevensons school also. I learned more at his school than ANYWHERE  else and I did 3 schools before I got my license. If you want to do it before the season starts, I'd go to Jennings and then do a bunch of track days with them (lucky bastids) and be primed for the season opener. I almost hate you guys that can ride all winter (or most of it). One of these days I'm gonna be a da*n yankee and never go home. ;D

Or, do what I did. Get a cheap license and then send a copy of it with your application. (Don't ell anyone I told you this)

Clay almost every region has some form of new racers liscensing clinics.  The classes are supposed to include atleast- race etiquette, procedures. flags, and then technique and set up.  Also, most regions hold the Track Days during the event weekend. Most regions again have highly experienced racers on track and available for no extra charge as coaches (or hall monitors as I like to call them).  They can provide you much more technique and setup information.  Either way go to ccsracing.com, contact Kevin or Tiffany in the front office and they will get you started OR let us know where you are from and where you plan to ride/race and one of us on the board can get you some contact info for your local region.  Good Luck and welcome to the fold.

Thanx for all the replies everyone!  I'm sure I would have already been flamed for SOMETHING had I asked the same question on the WERA boards.  LOL

Anyhow, I'm moving to Charlotte, NC in just two days.  So I'll be racing the SE region.  I'm not going to do Deathtona, but I want to do every other race on the schedule.  So I'll wanna have my license before the first Jennings race.  I would like the best school for the least amount.  My teammate did Ed Bargy and pretty much said we already knew everything he tought, 'cept the flags and such.  But I'd really like more of a one on one session like the Martinellis, something that will actually help me to be a little faster as well as learn the flags and stuff.

Greg, are the Martinellis still gonna be teaching since the Mrs had that bad wreck?
