I would love to see CCS add a Putnam date in the future. It would be great to go back to Brainerd International Raceway, too. And what about Grattan?

I think there is opportunity at Grattan, but the dates available are not "good" dates.

Brainerd?  CRA used to be a CCS affiliate at one time like the CMRA was, I believe.  I know that I raced CCS races there in 1993, 1994, and in 1997 I taught the CCS Riding School there.

Putnam.  After the place opened, CCS had dates there and someone got killed.  As far as I know, and you guys that have been there recently will have to tell me otherwise, there is a steel barrier next to the track at the exit of the last corner.  I knoe a couple of years ago, a friend of mine got all caught up in it at an AHRMA race.  Might be different.  I don't know.

It's the same Dave. It's definitely less dangerous than Gateway.

I love the track, it's great to ride and great to shoot. The track management has always been cool to me.

Walls at least allow you to spread the impact out.  Barriers...you can get different body parts over on one side, and the back gets broken immediately.  So, I don't know if Gateway is "more" dangerous.

Alan Wilson designed that track, Gingerman, Mid-America, and I think BeaveRun and Carolina...all tracks that have the great feature of some serious barriers.  I'd like to take him for a ride on a bike...

QuoteDon't believe evrything you read.  The Daiso family is actually very nice (ask the NESBA guys, they rent the track several times a year) and it is arguably the best club raceing track in the midwest.

I think that thread says a lot about WERA.  Some good guys, some jerks, but run by a couple of family members with very little outside accountability.

I woudln't say that.  We are accountable to our customers just like every other business.  I'm accountable to my boss just like you are to yours.

As for the comments about NESBA - I have asked them, and the reposnes isn't what you would thing it to be.

QuoteIf you can filter out about 90% of the backstabbing comments from the Putnam thread noted above, it's really sad how the situation evolved.

Bottom line is that if it hadn't been for hurt feelings on both sides that originated from some mis-information it wouldn't have had to come to this.

I'm still amazed at the impact the clash of a couple of ego's can create for such a large number of people who weren't directly involved.

As mentioned earlier, there are many other factors in play here from both sides that we'll never know about that ultimately led to the plug being pulled!

Ya know, I thought you guys did enough backstabbing of me on my own BBS without coming over here and telling untruths as well.

Bottom line is that there are no hurt feelings on our side, can't speak for the other.  There was no mis-information posted, ever.  I tried to schedule dates, got told no.  I totally put aside everything they said about me and WERA - to no avail.  There is nothing left hidden or unsaid about the issue.   If Kevin can deal with Dick and run races there more power to him but CCS got kicked out over the same type of stupid stuff a while ago.
