What issues would an American have racing a motorcycle in Canada?  Are there special visas involved to cross the boarder?

Dawn

All you need is a copy your birth certificate to cross the border (or at least that was all I needed the last time I did).

Thanks guys.  I have crossed into Canada many time (being from Detroit), but I was just curious what needed to be done prior to transporting a race bike.  The USGPRU had three rounds there last year within the Mid-West region.  If they do it again, I might give it a go.  Especially since some of the tracks are actually closer to Detroit than many of the other tracks we Mid-Westerners race at.

Dawn,

I will check out the link.  Thanks again.

I was thinking the same thing since its a hop skip and a swim for us too. I would sure hate to have to set up my whole pit at the border just so they can "search" us. :-/

One other thing to consider is what happens if you get hurt racing up there...

Does your insurance still cover you?
