Yeah, nothing big.  Vasaline's rider Steve Rapp beat Jesse in CCS Sportbike.

They made a change in the morning to the ride height, but it wasn't the way to go.  Guess Jesses had a little moment that had both feet off the pegs exiting the horseshoe.  Still got second.

Sixth in Middleweight Superbike.  Harwell, Acree, Greenwood, et all were in this one.  Jesse got sixth.  I think he got beat at the line by Ebben.

Suspension was back to the previous setting.  Jesse had the third fastest time of all the riders.

Talked about what I though would be a good change.  Not sure if it will work, but I think they are going to try it for Middleweight Grand Prix.

;D  Freudian slip Dave?  Or intentional?
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

Intentional.  That's what I've called the team for years.... ;D

Yeah, he did.  Caught him by surprise, and he's an accomplished dirt tracker.

I think he broke his ankle and a finger.  So, he's probably done.  I've got to get him the magic bone fixeruper to see if we can get him ready for the GNF for Suzuki money.

I know this has been beat to death, but Rapp, Harwell, Acree, Greenwood, you had your chance for the big trophy, let someone else go for it. :-X Sorry to hear about the crash. Get well soon Jesse. ;)

Super Dave

Hey, Jesse didn't care.  He wanted to beat those guys, and he didn't care if they pulled off or whatever.  Does it look better when you race and win, or when you race against the cream of the crop and don't win?  I say, Jesse made his mark.  You can bet that Rapp, Greenwood, Woods, Harwell, Ulrich, and some team owners and tire manufacturers noticed what he was doing.

Yeah, it would have been nice if he could have won, I agree.

Who would it have meant more to? I see your point, but.... He should be racing against the cream of the crop from all the CCS regions. Jesse will get his chance to race these guys again. ;D

Super Dave

Yeah, but it costs a lot to enter those races.  This is good free press for him.

And, even though he's busted up...

He qualified for FUSA Superbike and Sportbike...13th and 16th.

Jesse is well, sore but doing OK. Hairline fractures of little finger on left hand and right ankle.

He finished 14th in F-USA Sportbike after trying to go 4 wide into the chicane. Ended up running off track and back on in 34th place. He was amazing working his way back through the field but the leaders were gone too far ahead to catch.

He got 10th in F-USA Superbike from 16th starting position. Remember, that's riding injured and his first weekend ever at Daytona.

Looking forward to Road Atlanta next week. Too bad he doesn't have a good 600 Suzuki to ride in the Suzuki Cup race.

I think he will do real well in the SV CUP though. He is really riding great and on equal equipment he should finish well.

In CCS Sportbike he got the 2nd fastest lap time at 1:55.7 !!

In his race with Rapp he was staying within 2 bike lengths of Rapp until he got on the gas a bit early exiting the horseshoe and got pitched up off the seat. Both feet off the pegs. He gathered it up and went after Rapp, finishing a hair over 5 seconds behind him.
