Reading through the RRW updates today, the "Rick Shaw and his nephew take team challenge" in particular, the writer was calling the events at Daytona the Fall Cycle Classic. The team challenge that Shaw and his nephew won were the CCS/FUSA event, weren't they? My question is; are there several names for the same series, or are there several venues using the track on the same weekend. GNF? Is this the same thing? It seems like there was one other name for it as well, but can't remember that one. Anyway, TIA ???

I'm just making a semi-educated guess here, so don't hold me to any of this.  I think ROC, or Race of Champions, is not the actual name of the event.  That is what us club racers call it, and CCS may refer to the part of the event that is for us as the ROC.
Fall Cycle Classic is, I believe, the overall name of the event as it is marketed to the public.
I think that GNF is the Grand National Final, and that this refers to the FUSA season finale that is going on in conjunction with the ROC.  That's the best explanation that I could get last year when I was down there, but I wouldn't bet the bank on this info.
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

ROC is the CCS racers national championship
GNF is the WERA national championships held at Road Atlanta
FCC is the entire weekend of racing going on at Daytona the weekend of October hosting the ROC for CCS and the FUSA races.

And don't forget that Daytona Beach, the town, markets the whole biker activities as "Biketoberfest."
