I am leaving tomorrow morning (Friday) and plan to stay there all weekend.  I am driving my Ultra Classic up there and staying at a friends house in Mequan.  It should be a hoot!

My mom and dad will be there along with a bunch of their friends.  Dad took his Fat Boy but mom left her Dyna Wide Glide at home (too much traffic).  They left yesterday.

If you live within 50 miles from Milwaukee, you're "going"...  Jeez...  Now I know what living in Sturgis or Daytona would be like...

But Harley riders are so WELL BEHAVED!

What's the problem?

I must have passed at least 100 Harleys Monday morning when I was riding west out of Dubuque, IA in about a 40 mile stretch.   Multiply that by all the spoke routes coming into Milwaukee during the week and it must be nuts!

Look at it this way - the Wisconsin economy should be booming!

I have to say its quite entertaining riding a sportbike in the middle of a pile of harleys.  They are generally good natured though.

now if I can only get more of the RUBs to stop trying to be a badass and wave back like the everyday Harley riders do.   ;D

Jeff

It's not bad...  Plus, the whole chaps with a thong thing is a plus  :o

In general, I've gotten less attitude from Harley riders than you do from other sportbike riders...

Thats because a lot of the sportbike riders are too busy looking around for the 17 year old petite blond in a bikini top to ride pillion at 120mph.  Not to mention making sure the flip flops dont melt on the exhaust while wheeling.  ;)

I guess there are idiots riding all types of bikes.  I just try to wave at them all.  The nice ones wave back and the "cool dudes" get huffy.  Either way I win by getting a nice wave back or a chuckle.

to be back on topic: milwaukee is a blast right now.  Its really neat to see so many motorcycles on the roads and there are tons of events going on all weekend.  If any of you are on the fence just run up for a day and check it out.

I sooo want to go. I wish I had my softtail now instead of waiting until spring. :(
