during the team challenge a guy new he was going to hit the wall.  So he decides to throw it down to low side.  Well in the long run that wasnt a good idea.  His bike hit the wall and total his bike gas every where also on him.  The hot exhaust laying on dead grass started the bike on fire and since he was in the gas he lit on fire and got burnt and had a few broken bones. GOT AIRLIFTED

You say "it wasnt a good idea" How much time do you get to make a decision when you crash? Hitting the wall could of been worse..Not an attack...just food for thought...

Wether it was a good idea or not it's what the rider decided to do.  I assume he figured that he would be better off sliding into the wall rather than hitting it at full speed upright.

I would have probably done the same thing.

Hope he/she gets better soon!
