Was wondering why he had a "DNS" listed next to his name in the standings.  What happened?  Crash in practice/qualifying I assume?

Congrats to Doty tho on his top-20 finish!  Not bad considering he's never been to that track before!

He crashed about 8 laps into the restarted superstock race.  I work with the announcers right above turn 8, he crashed right underneath of our location.  Looked like a typical lowside into the airfence, but I think the bike must have caught him going in.  I talked to the Styles(sp?), who he was pitted with, and they said he had a couple broken ribs, a bruised lung, and a possible broken sternum, although they couldn't find a break.  He was kept overnight for observation.

Never met him, but hopfully he heals quickly

I saw Purk the next day.  He was definitely mobile (riding the paddock on his scooter), but he's seen better days.

Two years ago, he had a compound dislocation of his left elbow.  NICE!

Pain!
Not so bad, but bad enough to use drugs!!! :)
I low-sided in turn seven (the uphill then downhill left turn).  There is no
runoff; the airfence is at the edge of the track.  Bike hits airfence, I hit
front of bike with my back. I suffered two broken ribs (#10 &11), a bruised
kidney, and a bruised lung.  I didn't want to stay, but they made me stay
overnight for observation.  They had some concern regarding a pneumothorax.

Tricia with some help from Doty got everything loaded up and we left during
the 250 race on Sunday.
