Is there a story behind the number on your bike??

At loudon you can pick your number if someone else isn't already running it so i'm assuming thats the way they do it every where!!

Here's mine....
I've always been into airplanes and my favorite is the P-51. All that naturally aspirated unmuffled horse power! Damn how could you not love it!! Plus i always liked david pearson, richard pettys arch rival, who i think ran the #51 (although i'm 100% on that!!) anyway the letter P is the 16th letter in the alphabet so that would've been been #1651 which doesn't work .... so i just put a 2 in front of the 51 and got #251, now that i think of it i should've put a 1 in front of it as in 151.... get it!... as in barcardi 151!!  Although when i look at how i ran this year i think i should've used #103. that's 10 = J + 3 = J3...... as in J3 piper cub... a true putt putt of an airplane!!

so what the story behind your number

That's funny.

Mine is not as funny and just simple. It's my daughter's birthday.

I ride a GSXR 750 and since 1 is out and 66 was taken I went for 67

Years ago I had number 77.
Kinda like 69 but you get 8 more.

6 is my birth month, and 11 is my wife's birth month.

Well I ended up with putting my telephone number in the box ::) and ended up with 908, which is no longer my number. I wanted 777 as my buddies numbers were 772,773,and 776 and our endurance number was 77.

I always liked the number #69, but it was taken so I settled for #669, guess why I like that number??  :P

One of the guys I pit with just picks the highest number he can get since all the low numbers are taken. Seemed like a good idea to me. He got 999, so I picked 997. That and it's a pain in the arse to put those numbers on the plates. So it suits.

Yep,  she made me do it... it's my fiance's birthday.

The P-51 mustang has a blower. I think they pulled about 60-80" of boost at WEP. Reno guys run them around 120+" of boost. God I love that plane.

On topic, I picked my number because it was one digit away from the previous owner. It's been pretty good too me as well.

CCS gave me 828 when i started. It happened to be my birthday, so I liked it. Then I got the RC51, and everyone was whining about the number plate, and how we should put it in the middle. I requested a change to #808 so I could fit the "0" over the air intake. It turned out not to work out, but I kept the number as it was also available from WERA. Now one seems to be fighting for numbers that high up.  ;D

Mine was #89. I had that from day one. Then I crashed and broke my femur pretty bad. I raced lightweight for about 1 1/2 season. When I got back on a 600 I wanted something different. So I got #911 since the last time I rode a 600 I ended up in the hospital. :)
