Need help asap.

Taking a buddy to look at a 1996 EX500 for his first bike.  Supposed to be clean, with a Yosh pipe (scratches on the can I think) and some carbon mirrors, etc.  It says low miles, so I'm guessing in the 15,000 range.  Asking $2200, but I don't think it's worth that  much.  Anybody know what it's really approximately worth?  I was thinking $1600-$1800?  Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't pay a penny over $200.00 for it. Aren't those things like $4,000 brand new?

Thanks...been through there a couple times for him.  I think it's probably worth $1900...it's got new tires and sprockets/chain, but needs either a starter or battery.  I'll find out when I get there.
