Yes this is a revisit but as I get closer to 55, I forget stuff.  So generally people talk about going one down and two up as a starting point.  So from stock 16/45 that would mean 15/47.  Several people have talked to me about using taller gearing to shift left and try to carry more corner speed so I'm now at 15-43 (5th gear on back straight).  This feels tall to me but probably because I've not been riding @ race pace.  Opinions???

I'm debating whether to shift up to 5ths coming out of 1 or to simply rev. out 4th so I don't have to down shift for the carousel (T3).  Similar argument into 6th.  Shift down once or twice?  My thinking is reduce shfts to concentrate on corner speed.  I really have to increase corner speed in order to reduce braking and acceleration coming out of corners (less wear and tear on tires/brakes, motor etc..).

Probably need to think about data acquisition so I can track & maximize corner speed.  Unfortunately, I think I'm cornering slower on my R6 than I used to on my SV.  I should be able to rip around corners faster on the R6 because its more of a race bike than the sv can ever be.  Part of the issue is riding position.  On the sv I was part of the bike.  With the R6, I'm perched on top.  My favorite R6 was my 05.  Fast as snot and really confidence inspiring.  Plus I was riding better back then.

We ended up at 15/43 but that was only to get the wheelbase right. Yes it was to tall for BFR I think a 47 on the back would have been better.  That being said the kid still ran a 1:11.4, not bad.
