Would You Race In Hawaii?

QuoteGeez, Chris, why don't you tell us how you really feel.

Aw Tiff.  You know I love you.  But four races this month, three broken race bikes, a battered body and an empty wallet can take their toll on a guy.
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

I stopped by the track last year when I was in Hawaii working, yea working.  It is rough to say the least, with very little run off in most parts.  People there were typical racers.  Good folks, friendly, and willing to shoot the shit with ya.  Seemed to be a very tight knit racing community, although small.

QuoteJust out of curiosity, if there were a CCS/FUSA race in Hawaii, would you go?

Ok, from the former pro racer...

Yes...if there were proper TV coverage and press for the event.  It would require a reasonable amount of work on the promoters part.

As it is, BFR has huge turn outs, well, regularly, but we have no press.  THAT IS CR@P, and it makes me angry.  What good does that do the sport, the riders, or CCE?

Geez, guys I didn't post this to start fights, I was just curious who would go.  I'm sorry I ever started it.

Nah, I'm old.  But we were talking about an FUSA race in Hawaii right?  So, proper coverage would be in order.  Proper coverage of a consistent series with regular players would be in order too, but we can't seem to get that.

I'm sure we'd race in Hawaii when I get to the FUSA level.  Sounds like another good way to keep the wife interested in racing to me! ;D
