Thursday - Super_Dave's School.  Paul had a blast and Dave's assitance is invaluable!  Thanks Dave for a great day!   ;)

Friday - Paul didn't practice (he's an old man and with all the practice time at Dave's school, it was best that he rest)   ;D

Saturday - Second practice a motard guy and Paul had different opinions in how turn one should be negotiated and Paul lowsided in turn one.   :o  Both Paul and the bike are covered in mud and we are in race 1, Thunderbikes.

Quick - spray the bike off and run it into the trailer so Paul could work on it.  I in the mean time go to the rider's meeting in place of Paul (thank goodness they went through all the flags).  The corner workers took a short lunch break.

First Call - Second Call - Third Call - roll the bike out of the trailer - DANG!  The steering dampner is binding, run it up grab the tools and take it off.  Shees,  Paul makes it out on the three board and must start from the hot pit lane.   :-/

The bikes go into turn one and then they let Paul go.  Shoot!  He crossed the yellow line and got the meatball flag.  He comes in on the next lap for a stop and go.

The boy is on fire!!!  He got 5th place.  Whoo Hoo!!!!!

Sunday - After rocking in the motorhome through the storms (the wind was terrible), Paul practiced only a little bit.  The race before his it started to rain and we had the DOT's on.  With no time to change to rains, he went out in LW Superbike and got a third place.

LW Super Sport.  It's raining hard, the wind is blowing, just a crappy day for a race.  Paul goes out on rains along with some others.  Tom Short, the speed demon takes the lead followed by #271, Paul is in third.  Tom highsides in turn one,   :'(  but he is OK  :D.  Paul has his sights set on #271 now but is a full straight back.  He gains more confidence in his rain tires and starts to turn lap times quicker than the leader.

White flag lap, Paul is gaining.....  Comming to the checker #271 rounds corner 7 with Paul right behind.  Paul gets him at the line.  WHOO HOOO!  Paul's first race win by .03 of a second.

Champain all around.

We wish to thank everyone that was part of this racing weekend and wish that others that were not there could have been to share in this win.   Thanks again!

How awesome!!!  Congratulations to you both!

I think that "rocking in the motorhome" had something to do with his excellent placements  ;D  :o

It's just like torquing a nut - You turn it until it strips and then back it off a hair.  In other words, go slower.   ;D

Ya think? ::)  You got the torque part right, tho - should have been in a taller gear, would've maybe had flatter torque/hp on the exit, instead of wheel spin.  Note to self:  "in the rain, shift up one on the entry." :D
