Homestead: How about that GTL start?

So the grid was split up into 2 waves (ex and am). a few of us called out to the official and made sure that there would be two starts. quite a few people were totally unaware and left as soon as the experts left, the official threw his hands up wondering wtf they were doing (as were we) and the last 3-4 of us ended up just going seconds later.


Everyone completed the race and results were posted with everyone on there. If the few of us had stayed, would the official have went ahead and done the second start and disqualified (or done ride throughs) for the rest of our wave?
