Lap Times Pay Per View?

CCS has said it would be too time consuming to give each racer a print out of their lap times for a given race weekend.

But I, for one, would be willing to pay a nominal fee for that information. Anyone else willing to pay too see all their lap times? If so, how much would you pay?

Perhaps CCS could find the resources if enough people were willing to pony up $10 (or?) for a print out.

You shouldn't have to pay for it.  They have the info; they should be able to post it to the site.

I agree - it's all electronic - don't see why they can't just dump it onto a server and serve it up.  I don't care if it's not that pretty, or easy to find - as long as it's there I'd dig for it.  I was talking to an SCCA guy and he was surprised when I told him we used transponders (ok, "transmitters" :-) ) and we weren't given our lap data.  He said at their events everyone gets their printout from their races.  Can't believe we're paying any less money to CCS than the SCCA guys are to their org.

Super Dave

At least they could post something with our times.  LRRS does.

In SCCA, you must BUY your transponder.  $300+.  You loose it or break it, you've got to buy another.  Imagine trying to get involved in motorcycle road racing and having expense after expense come up.

Get an on board lap timer if you want your lap times.  That's the best way to go.  You have instant access to how badly you're doing.   ;D

If someone else would give me my lap times, I wouldn't mind that so much. As it is, I spent $200+ on my own lap timer, and the dang thing doesn't work most of the time, so I've spent the money, and I still don't have access to how badly I'm doing.   :-/  Hmmm...ya think maybe the universe is trying to tell me something?? ???

I thought our $5 per race already paid for them???

Anyway, once the system is up and bug free in all area, I will be very surprised if they dont set something up to distribute lap times...it is very simple to do.

Not to bring up another organization, but at the track CRA had a sheet posted after each race showing each rider's fastest lap.  Then they had all laps posted on their site for each rider within a day or two.  You just click on your competition number and you can see each lap time for each race.  Yes, there are probably smaller grids, but once the process is in place it shouldn't make much of a difference.

Bring your girlfriend &  hook her up with a stop watch.  Accurate, fast, reliable.  Besides if you're *really* bad she might even pad your times for morall  ::)

it take a couple of weeks just to get the standings posted on the web ! Dont confuse them or well never get anything online

Who cares if we have to pay for transponders ??? It is the same cost as a set of tires.
