The Rule book says you must be 40 years of age to run Formula 40
sounds pretty clear but i know in the past you were able to run Formula 40 if you were turning 40
within that season... Any one know if that is true?
I'll be 40 mid season and would miss half of the races until then
If I start racing them after that there would be no way to make up that many points
So is it the year of your 40th or the actual day?

Rules: the rule book reads you must be 40.

Reality: Ive never had anyone check my age at the regional level. they do check for Race of Champions.

I guess that makes sense, not like they ck when u go through tech...but just my luck would be to race it and have my points taken away
at end of season because i was only 40 for 5 out of the 10 races  :banghead:

40 the weeknd of competition, there was a request several years ago for rule change to year turning 40, it was not changed.
In years past entry operator had to check if a rider was old enough. The new program makes this check now. Makes it difficult for me doing pre entry for a rider that will be 40 on race date but is not when they send in preentry.

Just make sure #177 finishes behind #134 and he won't tell.

Thanks for clearing that up! guess i'll have to wait to play with some of my "Old" friends
and BTW, It really does suck having points taken away from u for no apparent reason and there is nothing you can do but take it on the chin!

Would that be the "K3" rule?
