Okay, I admit I am really really green to racing... (RA was my first race this year, other then that I ran only one race at BFH and one at Gingerman)

But my eyes are a bit larger then my budget also ;D

I was looking over the three schedules today at work... (well work was boring me  :P)
I noticed that the three regions are not all that different and one could run all three with out running that many more races.
Well I got to thinking about running out at Gingerman the week after Blackhawk.
Making it 4 weeks in a row of racing, probably what I need to get my bike up to the front
(well that an the nerves not to let off entering turn one on the starts, I was almost last entering turn one in all my races at RA.. and had to claw my way back up from there)

Anyway, my questions.
Why do they run three regions like this?
How many people run all three regions?
Would I stand a better chance at winning a title if I raced all three regions???

I think it's to atract as many racers as possible to one event. There are enough races that don't coincide that you could still win a championship if you dedicate yourself to one particular region.

Regarding your question of chances, sure, you definetly have a better chance if you run more than one region. As an example, take a real slow old guy like K3. He ran all 10 regions last year and won 5 championships. Kind of the same with Casper. So the moral of the story is to not give up regardless of how slow you are. There is always hope...

Don't give up on your dreams! If an illiterate like K3 can write a book, imagine what you can do!

I personally am running all 3 regions this season for a grand total of 16 events, plus the Daytona Race of Champions (ROC). I like having the opportunity to run the other 2 regions events, but not having to if I just wanted to follow 1 region.
They combined all 3 regions a few years ago and were having alot of people complaining about the travel required to make the entire region (Brainerd to the north, Heartland Park to the southwest, Putnam to the southeast, Gratten to the northeast, and BHF in the somewhat middle). Dividing them is supposed to reduce the travel within your designated region, though the Gingerman event 5/17 & 18 somewhat confuses me as to why it's a Great Plains event and not Midwest? I would assume it was for total number of event reasons.
If you kept all of a regions races within a tighter area you would have less variety of tracks and more redundency of them too. By stagering the events so none overlap in these 3 regions I feel CCS stands a greater chance of having people like myself show up at all of them. This also provides more variety in tracks such as with the Barber Motorsports Park event in the GP region. In the past there were overlapping races between these regions which forced you to decide which region you were doing the best in and had the greatest chance of finishing the best in overall. Another issue is the sharing of equipment and event staff between all 3 regions, only possible with a stagered schedule.

Em, Edgar?  I think your math is a little skewed.  That was 3 regions, 3 classes, for a total of 9 possible regional championships.  Sadly, I only won 6 of the 9...
What did you go for last year?  Like 29 in CCS and another 12 in CRA?  I think your final talley was what?  Maybe 2 championships?  You must have had to do some fast talking to cover your butt with the cartel.  I'm sure they were expecting better results for their $200,000 investment!
Next year just tell them to sponsor me instead.  I don't care if all the dogs start barking when I open my wallet to pay my entry fees! ;D
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"
