Hot Pit Lane: All persons should obtain a separate armband from CCS Registration to be allowed on the Hot Pit Lane. Anyone handling fuel on the hot pit lane must be clothed in full Rider gear or full nomex including helmet and/or balaclava and headsock. Others persons (spectators, crew etc.) may wear shorts but must wear close-toed shoes (no sandles or flip-flops).
ALL racers need this also
Track Entrance Requirements: Beginning March 1, 2012: All persons entering the track must have a "Fan Pass". It is strongly recommend that this be taken care of prior to leaving for your first event at NJMP. CLICK HERE and follow the instructions.

I have been to NJMP literally dozens of times this year and have never heard anyone mention anything about the Fan Pass yet.

Is the separate hot pit pass required for crew using pit boards or giving hand signals during sprints or is the hot pit pass only applicable during the TC? Is there an additional charge for the pass?

When we were there in May, I simply told the gate I was a racer and they gave me a 'hot pit pass' wristband.  No extra charge over the normal entry / camping fees.

The fueling requirements are absurd.
I hope to not see a trickle down effect on this!

I'm sure they know that our regular rider gear isn't flame retardant...  Well, I'm sure they have no idea.

Would they accept moto gear as "rider gear"?

I had a gate guy tell me the fan pass was BS marketing.

so when I put fuel in the bike I got to put on my full riding suite and helmet?

If you do it on Hot pit, yes you will.

Doubt that. Unperforated leather may protect from flames a bit longer than normal clothes, but will burn through. Bet their insurance carrier had a hand in these rules.

fan pas is a marketing thing, wast of time unless your email box is too empty
