Concerned of the status of a rider that hit me & went down today in turn 4, MWGP at BFR. The race was red flagged with the ambulance.
I think it was an Expert that was lapping me. Seemed to be a white & red R6.
I don't feel that I was erratic, but he went for a hole that close up.

Sounds like he broke his collar bone. Which sucks.

That was me. I'm glad I didn't take you out, that was one of the first things I was asking about when I was laying there.

It was a total misjudgement on my part.  I had just passed a guy coming out of the bus stop so I was lined up for the inside on turn 4.  I came in a little hot, and really didn't have anywhere to go.  Not enough time to pass you so it was either plow into you or stand it up... I stood it up and hit your rear wheel.  I ended up going over the bars and breaking my collar bone, but it could have been worse.  Your line was fine, it was totally my fault.  No hard feelings, glad you're OK!

Glad you're alright Alex.  I saw your bike down and was hoping it wasn't serious, given that spot of the track.  I came by to see how you were afterwards, but I think you were still in the ambulance.  Glad you're not any worse off and good meeting you in person this weekend.

You are one Stand Up guy Alex, no pun intended!  I am glad you are OK.

Alex, I feel bad that I was involved in you getting hurt... Last night, I did watch my on-bike GoPro video to see if my line was possibly erratic & that's what caused it. I appreciate your reply.
My wife actually got it on video, well some of it anyways... & yes, it looked like you were all over the brakes trying not to hit me. I did see you out of my periferal vision a little as well. I ran off the track & was able to just follow the grass & re-enter the track.
I hope you heal up fast.

Thanks!  What's the video like?  I'd like to check it out..

Eddie-  It was nice to meet you too.  Did you say you were racing in the WERA event at BHF?  I may head up to watch those if I get a chance.

Unfortunately, her video of it isn't very good. She misses some of it; its one of those deals where if you pause it in the right spots, you can get a better idea.
I'm new to video editing, but enjoy playing with it. Tonight or by tomorrow night, I plan on getting a vid of it online... Showing both her vid & also my onboard vid from my perspective; which is only looking forward though.
I'll post the link here when I get it online.

OK, I just uploaded the video of the crash to YouTube. I did about the best I could with the video I had to work with, plus video editing is a brand new hobby for me  :)
