So over the winter I've decided that I want to do a little motor work to my 2011 GSX-R 750.  My question is for those who know the rulebook well, what exactly can I do to my motor to stay legal to run in the supersport classes?  I don't want to do anything that would only allow me to run superbike and not supersport as well.

Thanks in Advance.

I recommend taking a read through the rule book to see what you can do and what you can't.  I recommend finding an reputable engine builder to help you with your project.  Most likely they will know what can and can't be done.  For the most part supersport builds include milling the head, thinner head gasket, adding adjustable cam sprockets and degreeing the cams.   Add a pipe and map for race gas and you will likely see about a 10 percent gain in HP.

The rule book is written not as to what you can do but instead a listing of what items are an enforcement item ie these things will be checked: max displacement, air box, compression ratio, etc
So with that in mind think of what you want to do; degree cams, not listed as control item, legal; replace cams, controlled item, not legal etc
