Hi everyone,

New to the CCS Forum. Former WERA Racer looking to race with CCS at NJMP. Only issue is I;m 44 yrs old and ride a 94' Yamaha YZF750R. I raced in WERA for nearly 20 years both modern and vintage classes. As I got older I enjoyed the vintage more. Is there a class that I would be compeitive in if I ride with CCS? Any info appreceaeted. Safe and succesful season to all.

Really is no vintage class with CCS. Heavyweights and unlimited classes are pretty much it for the 750R. HW Supersport, HW Superbike, UL Supersport, UL Superbike, GTO and Formula 40 (have to be at least 40yrs old to race this one).

I was planning on putting my 97 into track duty only years ago, but finding parts is becoming harder and harder. Did score some kit case guards for it. Have 94 YZF750SP forks on it. Found some EBC race rotors for the front. Plans changed after losing the job and was going to buy a HD for the street and leave the YZF750 for the track. Less than 9,000 miles until 100K miles on it.

Been looking for a set of black Intuitive frame sliders for it. Lost the one on the right side somewhere on the road and cant find another set of them.

Sounds like cool bike. Are the crash case guards mandatory in CCS on the YZF750R? I ran a custom made set on my FZR400SBK with WERA but, only because they stuck out. They weren't mandatory. I figured the YZF would be ok.

Yes, I saw the Formula 40 class. That might be a good class to try. Would you know if CCS has guest lic for racers from other Sanction Bodies to try a weekend out?

Finnally have a home track and would really like to race there.

According to the rulebook, all YZF models require strengthened covers. I never got around to asking if the kit case guards (they go over the ends of the crankshaft, not the clutch cover) would suffice. Was looking for a thickened clutch cover like they used for AMA SBK on this model but couldnt find one.

Heres the rulebook. Section 5 is the bike/rider requirements.
