Stupid Question....

I was reading the rulebook and did not see any safety wiring requirements for the brakes, pinch bolts, axle bolts, brake pad retaining pins etc... Am I blind or just retarded? All I saw was the oil fill, oil drain plug, oil filter, and all fluid hoses must be either clamped, safety wired etc...

Not required you are correct but you can anyway for precaution.

You read it correctly...........  There are only 3 items required to be safety wired - oil fill, oil filter and main oil drain plug.

You may choose to wire the other items you mentioned but it is not required.  I won't go into the rational behind the rules. 

Basically, if you're comparing the CCS rulebook with the WERA rulebook there is one other major difference: CCS - unless it says you can't do something you can.  WERA - you can't do something unless it says you can.
