Looked like a decent turn out for this past weekend.
Hot and humid though!
Anyone know how the guy who crashed in the 8/9 area during the last race on Sunday is doing?

There certainly wasn't a good turnout for the LW Am grid.  I enjoyed the podiums, but 2 guys in LWGP?

Saturday had decent grids for the Unlimited classes, but Sunday was real lean.
Does anybody have any links to who was taking pics?  etech doesn't seem to post theirs online...

I know Peter with "Under the Black Hat" was there taking pictures but they're not on his website yet.

Yeah, LW AM grids were lean all weekend. SS only had 4 bikes and Thunderbike had just 3 on Saturday and only 2 on Sunday! Hope these aren't typical numbers for the LW classes when MA and ATL series aren't sharing the track for the weekend.

The racer who crashed in 8/9 is doing well, he fractured his collar bone, rib, and the end of one of his lower arm bones (radius) - Didn't seem to dampen his desire any!

I raced lightweight a few years ago. It was a good class because you were able to run it with barely any money. Now in order to run it you need a bike that is more expensive than a MW bike.

That depends on why you're out there I guess. I'm on my 2000 SV - 3rd racer to own it. Bought it for $1,500 with no work done on it.  Apart from crashes I might have $400 tied into fixing it up. I can get a full season on three rears and I know everyone on the grid on a first name basis.

now LWSB... that's a whole different story. $$$

You probably have my old bike lol. Did you buy it from Eric Helmbach? I also know most everybody on the expert MW grid as well along with many on the HW and UL grid. :)

clarustnb

Nah - I bought it from Vadim Tsires #479. Good guy - one beat up bike.
