Looking for Motorcycle Make / Model Database

A friend of mine is doing a certain web project that involves some fairly granular motorcycle model data.  He needs to start out with a database of models, as in depth and accurate as possible.  Anyone know of such a thing available?  If you do, shoot him an email at mmbianco@yahoo.com.  Here's his original request he posted on Usenet:
