Zippers that is!

Anyhow, to be serious, before you put your leathers away, lube all of your zippers so that they don't stick and corrode over the off season. We use Teflon bearing grease, but you can use almost anything, from beeswax to W-D 40.

Store in a well ventilated area where they won't mildew (cold garage okay, as long as it doesn't get too moist), and do not put them in a plastic tub without circulation or a plastic bag. If the wifey insists they be in a container, use a laundry basket. If hanging, use a stout enough hanger, or buy one of those uber-cool hangers made just for your leathers.

Do or do not, there is no "try".

Hang them?  After spending this year doing the CMRA endurance series with 9 races (4-6 hours long) in the heat o the Texas and Oklahoma summer my leathers are now so ripe they can standi n the corner on their own and wait for the next race weekend...

Alexa - could you do my wife a favor and re-post the leather cleaning instructions again?

+1 on the uber-cool hangers, I've had mine from Black & Gray for years and love it. I've had my leathers hanging on it bouncing in my trailer for I don't even know how many 1000's of miles and it still looks like new.

My personal preference is to use PB Blaster to lube my zippers. It's a magnetic lubricant and works amazingly well!
