Isn't this old news?  Did everyone call their congressman and the gov when the helmet law vote came up?  No they didn't. Actualy I was told to get over it. I was told to grow up and wear my helmet. What do you think now that something is happening that you don't like?  Live with it.

There are little similarities in health care vs. helmet laws. The major reason that comes to mind is that my tax dollars will never be going to pay for under priveledged riders who cannot afford a helmet....hence more people giving a crap about health care.

Oh, and wear your lid. lol

Its not about helmets and wearing them or not.  Its about the realization that, little by little, we are losing this country. If I want to smash my fucking head into a bloody pulp on the high-way, thats my prerogative.  If I want to die in a head-on car crash from lack of a seatbelt, cool, you should be happy one less person to clog up the highway when you are trying to get to work.  Why is it that there is a channel (B.E.T.), an organization (N.A.A.C.P.), rainbow push, national urban league, national action network, a.a.p.c.i., and the list can go on and on.  I'm not racist at all period, but you do have to ask yourself why is all this in existence.  The answer is and can only be tolerance.  I , we, have just absorbed all of this shit for too long.  Greed, ignorance, laziness, and hate have fueled this downward spiral.  Obama just capitalized on it.  Right time right place I guess.  Everything is pointed in the right direction, for this countries demise.  People seldom think or care about the establishment, republican or democrat, unless it directly affects them.  I cant even discipline my kid(s) in public without some hippie soccer mom bitch, who just left the soccer game that doesn't keep score, giving me her very unwanted two cents.  FUCK!!!  I'm movin to Texas.

Nobody- we may differ on helmet legislation, but you are so right on with everything else! Especially the soccer game where nobody keeps score....we are celebrating mediocrity in this country!  I also agree that Obama capitalized on this society. We are lazy, over weight bastards who mostly do not care about our freedoms.  I, for one, am done with Republican vs. Democrat nonsense. I'll be voting libertarian next election.

I don't agree that we, generally, don't care about our freedoms.  But, it's my guess that the internet and social networking that has all started to show crap for what it was...crap.

How many of us would have had access to a lot of this information before?  That's not because of government that we have that access, but it's because there are a few that recognize that there are others like them that are pissed about what we're finding out about.

We are a republic.  We're not a democracy where a majority or the largest minority is supposed to be able to take away the nature or God given rights of an individual, the greatest minority in the world.  That's where our focus as individuals banded together to defend our rights as individuals must be.
