To the F40 racer that took Bobby Kim out in race 7 on Sat at NJMP

yeah best i can tell on my 22" screen is old guy A gets taken out by old guy B. i think i've said this before if there was one thing to cause me to start smoking it would be F40 there's like every class they could not fit somewhere else is stuffed into F40 beaten and banging around no eyesight no reflexes no patiance. they did cut close up on the camera bike though otherwise looked like a regular  trackday. good to see everyone is physically ok but we might need a lecture from chaplain 220

yes, i was the bike on the right.  in that turn, i always turn in from the middle of the track, because you don't need to set up all the way to the left, at least on a lightweight bike, and leave the inside wide open.

kyle - as i said, i misunderstood your post and thought you were telling me that it was you.  it's clear that it was not you.  i apologize for that and appreciate you posting up the video to show what really happened.  i'm sure we will see each other at the track and i will apologize properly for the case of mistaken identity.

as for the cornerworker, i know her well and she did not imply that she would give you any less assistance than anyone else.  i think she was just suggesting that you should appreciate the hard work they put in before getting into it with any one of them.  and she's pregnant.  her hormones are raging.

I ask cuz in that same race, I had someone almost take out 2 of us who were coming up on him pretty fast entering the light bulb. To me, the guy appeared to be having a mechanical cuz he was all the way on the inside, looking over his shoulder and going real slow. Just as we were approaching this guy up and decides to slide over to the middle of lane almost taking out the guy's (in front of me) rear wheel with his front and leaving me with practically nowhere to go but trying to squeeze between the two of them.....we definitely touched but it could have been just my knee hitting his....I dont know. I do know I was very pissed off since something that stupid happened on one of the faster parts of the track.

Kyle, people don't like Bobby because he's fast. There are plenty of fast guys who get no respect because they're assholes. People like Bobby because he's the definition of a stand up dude. Spend 5 minutes with him at the next race and you'll understand what I'm talking about. He's easy to find, he's the little asian dude who always has a smile and a handshake for anyone who approaches him. And his wife is impossibly hot.  8)
Seriously, dude. It ain't about who's faster than who. No one cares. This is about right and wrong, pure and simple. And if it were you who were taken out like that, you'd get the same support.

just read this thread. Bob, I'm glad (again) that you are okay. ktd, thanks for putting up the video.

I've been racing against and with BK for a few years now. He's one of the people I trust most while on the track. Off the track he has never told me "no" when it came to a spare part, a hot meal or a cold beer. This org and racing in general needs more people like him.

simon - i really appreciate that.  let's save that money for a more seriously injured rider in the future.

fed - i was in lightweight superbike in the 2nd wave.  the results aren't up, so i really don't know how far into the 1st wave i got.  in terms of the bike, it happened really fast, but i think i remember that it was a lighter-colored bike.  the track official seemed to think the bike was white.  to be honest it could've been blue for all i know.  why do you ask?
