Little rant. Pitbikes at BHF

Some of you clowns (or people in your crew/families/friends) are really gonna need to knock off the shit in the paddock with the pitbikes or we are gonna face losing them again. Sunday 3 girls on a green scooter (single seat one no less) nearly hit the ambulance when it was heading out to a crash scene. Ambulances arent cheap to fix. Also I didnt see any competitor numbers on it either (which IS in the rule book 3.4.6 paragraph F.) if its a racers scooter. If we dont start policing ourselves, track management might just say screw it and just say no more.

Couldn't agree more if I have to start pedeling everywhere because of some jackass's there's going to hell to pay. People under estimate how lazy I am !

whenever I see someone going too fast in the pits (be it in car, on scooter or race bike) I will almost always say something.

I'm not about to let someone take away my ability to ride a pit bike around because they're an asshole.

It was getting pretty bad on Sunday afternoon at NJMP. For a track that was suppose to be so strict, no one was enforcing the rules in regards to pit bike speed, helmets or anything for that matter. A few where just asking to be t-boned by someone. I believe most where guests of racers treating the pits like their private riding grounds.

If you see BS happening, just talk to Tom with the track.  He may feel that he need to take the opportunity away from those individuals.  Move forward to get the ones punished that are being jack asses.  Throw 'em under the bus for what they are doing.

The one I saw that pissed me off was towards the end of the day on Sunday.  Truck with about a 25 - 30' trailer hauling ass down the pit road, presumably trying to get across the track before the next race got started.  Considering that the speed that they hauled around the corner leaving the main paddock cought our attention as way too fast, I can only imagine what they did when they hit Buell alley.

Tom was actually on his 4-wheeler pointed in the opposite direction so I think he just missed seeing it.

As racers, you are responsible for the actions of those in your party. (Don't believe me? RTFRB)

So if those girlies would have had an incident with the ambulance, whichever rider they were with could have been fined and told to leave the track. I don't think a stray pitbike got in with some random spectators, so they were most likely 'with' somebody.

And yes, we should be concerned about the conduct of everyone in the paddock, because keeping it under control means we get to come back next time. That doesn't mean everyone has to sit in a lawn chair with their  hands neatly folded in their laps, it just means we need to practice a bit of common sense.

Fortunately, MC racers have a good reputation with most tracks. Let's keep it that way. :)
