we were told at the riders meeting as well, for those that missed the race or meeting, the the owner of Blackhawk has purchased more property around the track and is considering make the the track larger. anywhere between 2&1/2 and 4 miles. That would be a welcomed change to the already welcomed improvements to the facility.

It might have been a rumor a month ago when I first heard it from some inside sources, but now I would say it's pretty much confirmed given the public announcement of this weekend.

well, considering it was presented as, and has yet to be confirmed by the owner, it's still a rumor. But hey, whatever. Just thought I'd put it out there for those that were not in attendance.

I thought he said some is confirmed and some isn't. Obviously the track expansion was the unconfirmed part and it sounded like he was certain the land was purchased already. But either way, the track is looking much better.

for sure. and adding to it can only draw more people there. Wonder if the gate fee's will go up? :)
