ok, so as the contingecy starts coming in i noticed that i am short..hmm i know there was enough people on the grid sheet. well as i make some calls i come to find out it because of riders that did not grid or start the race even though they registered for it. then i start looking and it was in races that the track wasnt perfectly dry or conditions were not perfect. this pisses me off, lots of money being thrown away. if you dont want to race dont thats your choice but at least make it to hot pit so you can be checked off the grid sheet and those that do grid can get paid.

Well its quite possible their bike wasnt running when the calls came out, they crashed earlier, had an emergency, ill, blew a motor, etc....

I noticed that I wasn't listed in the results of one race I crashed in.
Yes, it was on the first lap but I did grid and start. therefore I should have gotten a DNF.

The race does not start after 1 lap. It starts when the flag drops.
We should not get discounted if we were to get taken out by someone or crash on our own within the 1st. lap.

That hurts us and those that finish.

I won a race that had 6 registered and 5 started. Michelin still paid because 6 entered, I emailed CCS immediately because I would have been pissed if I lost out on $175 for one rider who couldn't make the grid and they said it was based on entries. I also went out in a wet race with CRA because I figured not many people would have rain tires and my 5th still paid $30 even though 6 riders started because there were more entered.

You should tell DMG that. Hayden was treated to a meatball for juming the start although the flag never flew.

your name will not be in the results unless you cross the line for 1 lap.When i crashed on the first lap i was able to pick it up and make it to the line then to the pits after.At least i got points for last place.If i didnt get it going i would have got no points.

Exactly - the rulebook states that to be eligible for points that you must start the race from the grid OR pit road and COMPLETE one lap, either on track or on pit road

So, If you get taken out by someone, your screwed  right?. I say B.S... You should get a DNF.
After all, we pay 55-80 bucks, or more, to race, we should at least get recognized for that.
I understand "rules-is-rules" but, since I crashed out on my own, I should at least get a DNF.

Adding a DNS or DNF or 0 laps to the results can't be that hard and will help those that finish show the contingency paying sponsors how many were really in the race.

Now, the rider that does the taking-out should get stripped for that race.
I bet CCS doesn't even keep track of the offenders and the victims and how they should be placed.

I already said this but in my experience it has been based on entries, not starters or finishers. Maybe different companies look at it differently but otherwise it seems to be a moot argument.

there were plently of entries and no ones bike was broken, they just didnt grid because the track was wet in some areas. I was also told at the track that it went by riders entered, which I guess michelin doesnt see it that way. I emailed eric to have him check it out.

As some have stated already, gotta finish 1 lap to get scored.. Just signing up and on the grid sheet won't count.
