Not too stringent on abrasion, but you are taking your safety into your own hands when you go out there with holes in the gloves.

Definitely not. The leathers are just a little ... unattractive I guess you could say. Deff. safe though.

No kidding -- it's taking your safety into your hands, then shredding your hands on the track and grinding in lots of pavement.  Ouch!  I have done it once or twice, but then I considered the consequences.  I have two good pairs of gloves now.
