Are you required to bring Leathers, boots, back protector, gloves and helmet to Tech at CCS events?

If so can you bring your gear and at a latter time bring the bike?

Thanks

Woofentino Pugrossi

Last I seen it was helmet and leathers. I never brought my gloves or boots.

Florida CCS asks for everything along with the lowers off. No burns on the lowers and shall hold fluid if tested. I usually cart my gear first then the bike if I don't have extra hands.

Was that in this century?

Seriously......

I work Tech in the Midwest and Great Plains regions so I can't speak for any other regions.

If you're unable to tote your gear along with your bike we try to work with you on that.  Best solution if you have to make 2 trips is to bring your gear up first so it can be checked off and then bring your bike in so that when you leave tech with your bike it has the proper Tech sticker attached.

If you bring the bike in first we can't just hand you a Tech sticker when you come back with your gear.

And by gear this means Helmet (with your race number on it), leathers, boots and gloves.

And like Mark said, have the lower off otherwise you face the wrath of cranky Tech Inspectors!

You are just asking for a slap in the back of the head arent you Burt? :kicknuts:

BTW 2004 was the last tech I went through. BTW Burt, if thats your ram that usually ends up parked along the side of the tech building on the tower side, could you please put it somewheres else? I need that area for teh crash truck when I have to do errands to the tower.

Me drive a truck to BFR??  I've ridden my bike to Road Am and BFR (and twice to HPT) this season.

Jay (also works Tech) drives a Silver Ram.  Not 100% sure but thought he usually parked on the Bathroom side of Tech.  Either way we can get it worked out.    :thumb:

Hey guys, about leathers and gear... are tech inspectors usually real rough on the gear quality.  My leathers are a little worn and so are the gloves but they certainly arent ripped through or falling apart. Do you think this would be a problem?

Not too stringent on abrasion, but you are taking your safety into your own hands when you go out there with holes in the gloves.

Have no idea what you are talking about. :ahhh:

Yeah the silver ram. Its not so much a problem after Barney and the rest of the ducks packup and take the rv behind tech, I just pull in there then. Rest of the time it can be a pita finding a spot for the truck when I have to go to the tower for something.

Look at it this way..........  if you were to crash would your leathers and gloves protect you or would you possibly have bare skin exposed?  Would the seams hold up in a crash?

If you can answer yes to these two questions then you should be ok.
