Quick question for anyone that might be able to help me out. How much is it to rent a transponder at the track? And if planning to race the entire season would it be smarter to buy one? This is my first season thanks in advance for any help.

Transponder comes with your race entry. No charge to rent one, just make sure you get it back to the officials by the end of the weekend!

The only thing you have to buy for the transponder is the mounting clip or pouch, $5.00 and they are available at registration. Welcome to the addiction!

Be sure to mount it with the little tab toward the rear of the bike.  Last year I kept losing mine because of that.  When you go into braking zones it tends to break.

okay ill make a note of that so i dont do the same. Will i just have to drill a hole in the tail section to mount the tab to?

Yeah, bring a drill and step bit with you to the track. You'll be able to mount the bracket on the tail. I've drilled 4 holes and have the bracket zip-tied on.
