AMA Daytona schedule...

Hey Mr James...

Not looking like we'll be running it....still up in the air.....looks more like running the ASRA Team Challenge....but what ever we do it's all up to
Helmbach - his bike/team

..and it kind of is tough...we're a 3 rider team...and from the entry forms for Daytona, Road Atl & Barber - only allowing 2 riders.
and Daytona is only a 2 hr race...

I really loved running the series - going to be tough not being there.

I'm guessing the James Gang will be running it???

all the Moto GT races are 2 hour and done with 2 riders except the daytona 8 hour is alowed 3 riders for the 2009 season
we entered the SV for Daytona and hope to make all the rounds
who else is in?

We're in. It will be me and Jeff Johnson. Crew Chief Mike Kirkpatrick and tuner John Dahmer. We'll be on a steep learning curve aboard an 1125R.

We're hoping to do the whole season, but it depends on the actual schedule. It would be nice to know if the series is going to any of the California rounds or Miller. Those could be budget busters. At least we're not going to Fontucky!

Paul, we'll see you in the ASRA Team Challenge at Daytona! We would like to use it as a shakedown.

I may enter a few of the races but definately not running the whole series. So far I don't like the changes that have been made to the series. I thought the way it was run the past couple of years was pretty good and it seemed as though things were going quite well, but now I don't know. Two hour races don't seem like much of an endurance to me. It's an aweful lot of money and time just to run for two hours. Will most likely be running the eight hour though.

i am not to happy with the 2 hour races either.
we are doing hopefully all the ASRA tc with the sv also
we are going to give the first few moto gt races a chance i almost want to just say hell with them but i entered the daytona one so we will see what happens
plus theres no rule book out yet they say monday maybe

Supposedly with a professional organization such as AMA one would think that they would have things like the rulebook and schedule ironed out a long time ago. CCS and WERA have had theirs done for how long now? Very disappointing! Also their communication system is aweful. I will get off my soapbox now.

thats the schedule on the full season pre entry form.
they should have left it all alone for this season and figured out changes for next year if needed.
all the rounds are AMA weekends except the 8 hour.
who knows what the weekly schedule for the events will be either. Daytona you need to be there tuesday for a race on friday
