Just bought a new chain for my bike for next year and like an idiot i messed up and left myself about three links to short. So my question is am i screwed? I know i can get rivet links but would that be safe at all? Its a brandnew EK chain im hoping theres a safe way to go about adding links any help or tips would be very much appreciated.

I have used 2 master links on a chain. Not the best idea, but 2 rivet links should be ok.

Racing stresses a chain less than street riding.

ok cool i appreciate it i was just worried i didnt know how safe it would be. I know sometimes they leave tight spots in the chain. Thanks again.

the only reason you get a tight spot on a rivet master link is cause someone presses the outer plate on to much. Just get it past the edge of the pins, and when you mushroom the edge it will move it in place as much as needed. I have used 2 links in the past and i know of others who have with no issue. If some racers get along with clip links, 2 rivet style masters will work. Just take your time with the masters.
