Russ, I use the program every day (mostly because I'm very forgetful and can't remember what times I ran this year) and I like the thing very much.  Great work on it man.

And with that, I invite you to help me on my quest to get even with sir Art Chaplain Lohman for writing "I love Arkansas" on my bike in sharpie.  You seem to have some good ideas....

I would offer to change all his lap times in the database to make Art look slower, but it looks like he beat me to it :)

This has been a very entertaining thread.  :pop:

First, Thank you Russ for developing this software. I have found it to work very well, it is great to not have to worry about geting my laptimes at the track while I have so much other stuff to worry about. Not to mention the other stuff the folks that have my laptimes at the track have to worry about.

Second, I jumped on this project from day one (as a user) and while I did find some little bugs and growing pains early on I found that each time I mentioned something it was not only fixed very quickly, you would ask if it was right and if there was anything else you could do to make it more useful.

Thanks for all you effort.

Thanks for the appreciation... I'm still working hard on new features while constantly trying to make things faster and more reliable. Without feed back like yours my job becomes much harder.

A few new things that are coming in the very near future are.

  • Play-by-Play: A more visual per lap account of placement changes per lap
  • Upgrades to the event chooser

    • Once you've selected a race track, 'fun facts' will be displayed about the track much like your per session data
    • Once you've selected an event date you will be given a larger more intuitive session list instead of just the drop down in the top right.
  • Rider Comparison: This is the bigger of the handful of things I'm working on right now. You will be able to view a rider's profile and click 'compare'. This will bring up a screen that will compare your results to the rider selected. You'll be able to compare not only all the aggregated lap time data that is available in other locations, but statistics like growth comparison.
  • My Growth: A feature I just though of while writing the above feature :) From this page you'll be able to in one click view your growth in comparison to riders who you place near in end race results....

As always; I love suggestions, tips and bug reports. I don't even mind being told my product sucks. Just do it productively and not like Todd Trumble, from TTRmotorsports.com. This is a product geared towards selling to a racing organization, but no one will ever buy it if it doesn't have features that riders will clamber for and I can't think of everything :)

Russ, 2 ideas:
1 - be able to compare your times from different races, like we can now compare our times with other riders in the same race.

2 - Get CCS to set up some splits around the track.  Then we can see WHERE we are slow!  Yes, I know it may be everywhere....

This will be part of the whole "My Growth" type section. You'll be able to get stats on how you did race to race, session to session with more types of data points than you can shake a stick at....

I don't think this will ever happen, but this is something everyone would have to directly talk to CCS about...
