Hey all,
Just wondering about some tire warmer temps, I have some michelin power race prc front and medium rear what is the recommended cook time for a race and how long? Do I cook them the same for a track day and does the morning cold weather of lets say of 40 change the cold tire pressures when it will heat up to lets say about 60 in the day or something like that?

The PRC likes to be a liitle cooler start on mid setting or 135-145 F. I dont have much experience with a medium rear, but I would guess heat sink it at about 180 for somewhere around 1 hour to 45 mins before your race. Ive tried messing around with hot temps and being more accurate with off the track and ambient temp pressures on the michelins, but it has almost never been worth the time. Just check the pressures through out the day if they get to cool down ever. I normally get around a 5.5 lb raise on the front tire going from ambient to off the track temp (135 on the new C up to 150 on the old C) and around 7 lb raise on the rear tire, again going from ambient to off track temp (185-195)
