Does anyone have first hand experience on a ultra light weight at Daytona?  I am on a Duc 600 and and haven't ridden Daytona, and am wondering if I will have enough HP to ride the course in October?

Of course you will. However, there will ne no need for you to ride up to the top of the banking.  I am not sure how many Amateurs will be out there but the Expert field had a range of Duc800, Aprillia250, FZR400, and even the Honda450.

We shall see this year who shows up.

I rode an MZ Skorpion there my first year racing...  Was a blast (well it was my first year too) but yea, took me a while to get up the banking but was fun none the less..  think I got a 4th as an amateur also.

i'll be there and my fzr 400 runs great there,Last year i had a 3 bike battle the whole race with a aprilia rs 250 and a honda hawk 650,we were passing each other in almost every turn and at the end i got them to the line and got 4th.my top speed on the bike there is around 140mph.Next year the class will change so it will be the last race for the bike after 20 years unless my SV 650 doesnt work next year.

I am planning on it. For the past few years my plans of winning a National Championship has been foiled in one way or another. I am not sure if troy will go, he seems to think that he has no chance.

See you there Mark E.
