I'm finally getting new bodywork enabled by a new job and I'm trying to decide whether to have the slidders fit thru the upper fairing or should I cut them off and have them flush with the fairing to essentially provide support in the event of a crash.  I'm thinking that the maximum surface area available during a slide will minimize damage; don't frame slidders provide a hook-up point for the bike to launch anyway?

Looking forward to responses on this one!!
