whats up guys  my names Mark im from Houston tx  and im looking to make more power instead of tradin up as I like my v twin , although I know it doesnt compare to an  inline bikes I owned.
this bike is a 2007 Sv1000s

so im looking for power versus pricelet me know what you think I might pick up and weither its worth it.

PCIII- 259.00 + shipping   with tuning 3-5 hp...?
Custom exhaust (open, although it will have minimal back pressure)   Hp??  2-3?
TRE- support mod  ?
Tanks risers- air flow ?
BMC filter  ?
about 30-35 lbs weight reduction.  I added up the approx cost  450.00

I have seen bolton numbers as high as 118+
Let me know what you guys think, as i said im not sold on doing these mods but thinking about it versus internal work or trade up for  a inline 1000cc

With an M4 pipe, stock air filter, stock fuel injection, TRE, tank risers, no snorkel, Factory Pro ignition advancer...my '07 SV1000 was right around 108 to 112 HP.  With some really hot fuel, tuning using a Factory Pro Teka fuel injection adjuster on a dyno, and a good day, we did 118 or 119HP.  Going over the scales very low on fuel but otherwise ready to race, I'd weigh in at a little over 400#.

There really isn't a lot that makes a dramatic affect on the SV1000's HP.  Think of it as a tractor, really.  I think the ports or the cams might be the real restrictive part.  Next, it has no ram air.  Great bike, really, but focus on handling where you'll get better returns.  The rear spring is grossly inadequate.
